Critical race theory

The course invites PhD candidates, but is also open to master students. Participation without essay will give 3 ECTS credits. Participation and essay will give 10 ECTS credits.

Time: 9-11 October 2012

Venue: Bergen

Teacher: David L. Eng, Professor of English, comparative literature, and Asian American studies. He received his Ph.D. in comparative literature from the University of California at Berkeley and his B.A. in English from Columbia University. His areas of specialization include American literature, Asian American studies, Asian diaspora, psychoanalysis, critical race theory, queer studies, gender studies, and visual culture.

Organisers: Centre for Women’s and Gender Research (SKOK), University of Bergen, Norway

The course is free, but participants will have to arrange and pay for the travel and accommodation themselves.
