Faith with a Licence to Kill? God unmediated by moral law in Knutby, Sweden

Author(s): Jone Salomonsen

(In English) In this article Jone Salomonsen explores the darker side of religion through three cases of killing in the name of religion.

The cases are the Knutby case in Sweden, a case in California where a father sacrificed his daughter, and the case from London of 8-year-old Victoria Climbié who died after extensive abuse by relatives who believed she was possessed by evil spirits. What does it mean to kill someone out of love of God, or obedience to the Holy Spirit in a Pentecostal setting? Available online in English in full text
